Description
DEFLECTA STABILIZER® is a clear aqueous borne cure and seal and moisture barrier/treatment for fresh poured concrete and a moisture barrier for cured/aged concrete in the form of a liquid that is of constant volume. The product enters into the voids and capillaries of the concrete matrix and is formulated to retain moisture and improve hydration, it also reduces concrete dry shrinkage during its cure. This treatment is excellent for protecting concrete in areas such as carparks, factories, warehouses, office buildings and commercial/retail areas.
How it works
DEFLECTA STABILIZER® when applied to the concrete surface, penetrates the concrete while preventing moisture movement and ingress into the concrete matrix.

Why do you broom the product around the floor area?
To allow the product to be evenly spread out and to prevent pooling.

What are the consequences if the surface area to be treated is not cleaned properly before the application?
Possible product performance failure.

How long before topical finishes/coatings can be applied on DEFLECTA STABILIZER®?
If DEFLECTA STABILIZER® was applied at the time of pour, topical finishes/coatings can be installed after 14 days. If DEFLECTA STABILIZER® was applied to aged concrete greater than 28 days from time of pour, you must wait 24 to 72 hours.

Why does the surface need to be clean before you apply your products?
To allow the product to penetrate or seal correctly a clean, dust free surface is required

What should I do if the product gets onto glass etc?
Immediately remove the product with soapy water to avoid the product etching the glass.

Can anyone apply the product?
Yes. Although training and certification is required to apply the products on commercial projects.

Can the DEFLECTA® products be used internally and externally?
DEFLECTA SURFACE BINDER®, DEFLECTA MOISTURE SUPPRESSANT® and DEFLECTA HEALTH SEAL® are manufactured for internal surface applications, all other products can be applied to internal or external surface areas.

Does DEFLECTA STABILIZER® affect the adhesion under floor coverings?
No. As the products leaves a key at the surface, this allow moisture to dissipate. The surface will require a progress sand or light grind to remove any purged materials.
